Down the front of this short dress, the character chữ Thọ (壽), the Vietnamese symbol for longevity, is arranged in colored circles that branch upward and outward like a growing tree. Each circle is hand-stamped with a carved wooden block and traced by hand in fine embroidered stitches. Cut from linen in a relaxed shift with a V-neckline and inner ties at the waist, made at the Hanoi atelier.
