Along the front of this midi dress, the character chữ Thọ, the Vietnamese symbol for longevity, is reimagined as wrapped candies, hand-stamped in overlapping hues and traced by hand in fine embroidered stitches. Cut from Dui in a soft midi silhouette, a Vietnamese silk. Stamped, embroidered, and finished by hand at the Hanoi atelier.
Care
We recommend a cold, delicate cycle, preferably in a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Reshape gently and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
SWEET LONGEVITY
Every year at Tết, Vietnamese homes set out trays of mứt, candied fruits and wrapped sweets offered to guests alongside tea and small wishes for the year ahead. The tradition is simple: a sweet in the hand, a blessing in the mouth. On this dress, the character chữ Thọ (壽), meaning long life, is drawn as one of those sweets. Each wrapped shape is a stylized Thọ, the same wish for longevity offered here as candy: bright, layered, and arranged in small clusters down the front of the dress. Each shape is hand-stamped in overlapping color and traced by hand in fine embroidered outlines. Cut from Dui in a soft midi silhouette, the dress moves easily through warm days and carries a small daily wish for a sweeter year.
