Long curved strips of Vietnamese batik in bright multicolor patterns are applied by hand down the front and back of this linen tunic, arching over the shoulders and meeting at the center. Fine red running-stitch embroidery traces the fabric between the strips, and small mother-of-pearl buttons run down the center front. Cut from natural linen in a relaxed kaftan silhouette with a V-neckline, patiently crafted at the Hanoi atelier.
