Across the neckline of this sleeveless blouse, the character chữ Thọ, the Vietnamese symbol for longevity, is arranged in overlapping black seals. Each one is hand-stamped with a carved wooden block and traced by hand in fine embroidered stitches. Cut from white Dui in a relaxed silhouette. Stamped, embroidered, and finished by hand at the Hanoi atelier.
Care
We recommend a cold, delicate cycle, preferably in a mesh laundry bag, with a mild detergent. Reshape gently and allow to air dry naturally.

The story
LONGEVITY SEAL
The character chữ Thọ (壽), meaning long life, has been carried through Vietnamese decorative tradition for centuries in the form of a seal. Pressed onto lacquerware, carved into wooden doors, embroidered onto ceremonial cloth, it appears as a graphic emblem, complete on its own, meant to be read at a glance. On this blouse, the character is presented in that same form. Five black seals gather at the neckline, overlapping and framed by fine running stitches, each one hand-stamped with a carved wooden block onto white Dui To. No color, no flourish, only the character itself. Cut from Dui , a light Vietnamese silk that breathes with the wearer, the blouse falls in a soft line and moves easily through warm days. The oldest wish in Vietnamese decorative tradition, worn where an ornament would sit.
