Size
An above-the-knee coat in bamboo taffeta, cut from silk panels in cobalt blue and true red, joined by hand at the center front. Along the hem, cuffs, and back, black silk panels are inset with red and blue rectangles in the shape of anaglyph 3D glasses, framed with hand-stitched outlines. Long sleeves, hidden front closure, and side pockets. Part of the Cinema Collection, designed by Laura Fontan Pardo for Vietnam Fashion Week 2025.

The story
ANAGLYPH
Designed by Laura Fontan Pardo for the Cinema Collection at Vietnam Fashion Week 2025. The coat is the audience. If Countdown was the film about to begin and Projector was the machine casting the light, this is the moment the viewer puts on the glasses to see it. Anaglyph is the technical name for the red-and-blue stereoscopic effect that made cinema three-dimensional for the first time, in 1922, using paper glasses with two colored lenses. Look at the world through one lens and everything is blue. Look through the other and everything is red. Look through both and the flat image on the screen begins to move toward you. Laura built the coat from that idea. The front is split down the middle, one half red, one half blue, as if the wearer has taken off the glasses and pulled them wide open into a garment. On the hem, the cuffs, and the back, small black panels appear with the same red and blue rectangles inside, drawn like tiny pairs of 3D glasses lined up along the fabric. A coat that carries both the way the film looks and the way the viewer sees it, folded into one silhouette.
