Our Mission

Our mission is to redefine the fashion industry with humor and artistry by crafting high-quality, artisanal garments. We want to inspire joy and leave a lasting social and cultural impact.

"We believe a company should not be based only on material profit for the owner, but should also be rooted in the moral and spiritual values that could bring a positive outcome to you, the people who work for you, and your clients"

- Diego Cortizas del Valle, Co-Founder

workshop

Our workshop is located on second floor of our store in Ha Noi and open to the public. This allows us to not only to ensure a open and holistic working environment, but also foster a deep sense of community.

By working closely together, we are able to coordinate and innovate in all our areas of production, refine our designs, and experiment freely. It also gives us the flexibility to exchange and learn new skills from eachother as needed.

This way of working keeps our process dynamic, ensuring that each piece is made with care and precision.

super team

Talent knows no barriers! All our clothes are made by a super team of deaf tailors, proving that people with disabilities are more than capable of creating pieces of the highest quality and intricacy.

There exists a missconception that working with dissabled people is difficult or that it comes at the cost quality. We want to break this stigma and show the great benefits and learning that comes from working with different types of people.

We encourage other entrepreneurs to do the same.

slow fashion, lasting quality

We dont try to keep up with trends but rather aim to create timeless pieces that will never go out of style.

Crafted with care and built to last, each chula is meant to be cherished and housed by generations to come.

We are always looking for new ways to reduce our impact on the environment. We do this by repurposing leftover fabric from our workshop to create linings, jewlery, bags and furnature.

for every woman, a chula

Colourful, monochromatic, elegant, casual, traditional, experimental.... our collections are as endless as Diego's imagination and inspiration.

Our dresses are as unique as each Woman's personality. We celebrate individuality, and we want to empower each woman to express their vibrant, one-of-a-kind personalities with confidence.

safeguarding traditions

Vietnam has been experiencing decades of remarkable economic and social transformation. While this is exciting, we believe it is essential to preserve the traditions that make each culture unique.

We have incorporated textiles from the Mông, Thái and Cơ Tu ethnic minority groups into our designs to help keep these artisanal techniques alive and adapting them to contemporary fashion style. Likewise, our take on the áo dài and áo yếm brings a fresh perspective to these historical outfits.

connecting cultures

Chula is a Spanish Sevillana on a Vietnamese Áo Dài!

Our designs have been inspired by cultures from all over the world. We believe fashion can bring people together and help them embrace their culture as well as that of their surroundings.

We want to create conversation pieces: unique, colorful and playful dresses that spark conversation between strangers and encourage cross cultural interactions through interpersonal relationships.
